DNC Rules and Bylaws Makes Ruling on Michigan Delegates

After a raucus day of debate, and a vote of 19 in favor and 8 against, the DNC Rules and Bylaws committee voted to seat the full Michigan delegation with each delegate receiving 1/2 a vote. Senator Clinton has the right to appeal this decision to the Credentials Committee. The meeting has closed.  The mood was tense and emotional and it seems that the Clinton camp is ready to take this to the floor of the convention if they feel the need. The decision today brings Obama closer to the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination.  The nominating process draws to a close starting tomorrow in Puerto Rico, followed by Tuesday’s South Dakota and Montana primaries
