It’s Official 43 is the New 23
Well I turned 43 today, and it turns out it does not feel any different than I did yesterday. As I said last night, it’s just another year around the sun. I am not really having a party. I have class tonight, and a busy weekend ahead. The promised series of articles on spiritual betrayal are coming along, there is a lot there, and will be posted when they are ready. I am a little bummed that Jessica Alba did not even send a card this year, which is giving me pause in my support of her as a candidate for president. So it’s my own personal new years day. No cake, no pony rides, just another rainy day in New York City. The days of wine and champagne toasts are over. I guess the best thing to do is celebrate my progress. And savor the sweetness of being alive another year. I can’t say I always enjoy life, but I get to experience it. Things have changed and I have changed. Agendas I once had have now seemed to have fallen by the wayside. This is not going to be one of those dance on tables wild birthdays. It’s just going to be a mellow day. Hopefully with no unpleasant surprises. I can’t say that I have no regrets, but today I am just looking forward. It’s the only way to fly
