Beware of Wolves in Sheeps Clothing
That’s the thought of the day. Be real careful as to who you trust, particular on a spiritual and personal level. I’ve learned some real hard lessons this week which I shant want to learn again. There are a lot of people out there calling themselves spiritual teachers, gurus, personal coaches, whatever. It’s not by their words, but by their actions can you judge them. Take caution. There is no secret to “The Secret” – most of the book was ripped off from “The Master Key System” by Charles Haanel and “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen. “As a Man Thinketh” was originally published in 1902. “The Master Key System was published in 1917 and are the “ancient texts” that Rhonda Byrne was referring to and were inspiration for the book and the film “The Secret” There are alot of people making money and taking advantage of people who are true seekers on knwoelege and wisdom. They know nothing more than what has been distilled in these two wonderful texts. “The Master Key System” is actually available online for free, as it is in the public domain. Do yourself a favor and save your money by attending workshops and joining multi-level marketing groups that supposedly will teach you how to manifest your wildest dreams. Get these books and work with them. Find like-minded people who will support your goals. They don’t have to be on Oprah to teach you to live life at the highest possible vibration. And be careful who you trust in all areas of your life. If someone starts to show fear at your own growth, run, don’t walk away from them. Notice in your life who gives and who takes. Who shows up when it’s convenient for them, and who shows up when you have something to offer or they can make a buck off you. Really listen and notice to what people say to you. Sometimes the hardest thing to do in life is to walk away. But for your own integrity, you must. It is a lesson I am learning in spades today. When spirituality has been reduced to mere marketing ploys, something is wrong somewhere. And when people put you on a shelf until it’s convenient for them to take you down off that shelf and use you, it’s time to turn your back, and wipe the dust of that nonsense off your sandals or Nikes and move on. Jesus said that and I find him to be a credible source. Be careful and gentle with your dreams and who you entrust them too. Be careful, too, with the gifts of yourself that you may be so willing to give. There are some who respond in kind to that, and others who will use it to their advantage and react with fear when you try to grow. There are others who will take, take take, and never give. Again, run, don’t walk away from these people. You don’t need a guru. Whatever power you have is inside you just waiting to be unleashed. Spiritual betrayal can be a painful thing, and being put on the shelf by someone you cared about is also not pleasant. But the experience can teach you many lessons. Sometimes you have to accept pain as your teacher. Patrick Carnes, a notable therapist, said that and it is one of the most profound things I have ever heard. If you are a creative person, be careful with whom you share you art or writing, poetry or music with. Some will mock it, others will criticize it. Others will through their own insecuritites try to discourage it. And again some will just use it to make themselves feel good and never return the favor. Do not let them. Surround yourselves with positive people who care about your well-being and dreams, not those who wish to capitalize on them, or keep you on a shelf and dust you off when they need to feel good about themselves. Never settle. Never be anyone’s consolation prize. Life is too short. Offer what you have with a free hand but be careful who you offer it to. What may be sacred to you is just amusement to others. Guard you heart and soul as it were your own child. Do not put your faith in too many people. For they are human, and they will disappoint you. It is inevitable. Again is say this: NEVER SETTLE!!! Slowly but surely I am recognizing people in my life that just do not show up. I can be bitter, and truth be told, I am, I am human, and am just as vulnerable to the dark human emotions as anyone else. The good thing is I have noticed these people and am in the process of cutting them out of my life and cutting off their supply. Sorry vampires, leaches, game-players and self-appointed gurus. You’ve been renting to much space in my life and in my head. Consider yourself evicted. Also a little side note : I have but three rules in my life, or at least three rules that I share publically. Rule Number 1. Don’t ever fuck with me Rule 2. Don’t ever fuck with my friends and Rule Number 3. Don’t ever fuck with my family.
